Ferraro's sits on a terrace directly above Wailea Beach and is the resort's sunset table. Lunch runs Italian-coastal; dinner is the harder reservation of the two seatings. The $100 Preferred Partner credit covers roughly a two-course dinner for one here, or lunch for two.
Wolfgang Puck, ocean level
Spago
Spago pairs Puck's California cooking with Hawaiian fish, one floor above the lawn. It is a tasting-menu-scale bill rather than a casual one, so most guests apply the property credit here and settle the balance on the room.

DUO Steak & Seafood

Three Pools, One Beach
The deck is the reason people return.
The resort splits its pools by who is using them, which is the single biggest reason couples and families both keep booking it. Cabanas are complimentary and first-come — there are 67 of them across the property — and pool chairs cannot be reserved.
Serenity Pool
Adults-only infinity pool at the quiet end of the deck, long enough to swim laps in. Cabanas and daybeds line the edge.
Fountain Pool
The main oceanfront pool, flanked by two whirlpools and the widest run of loungers. Chairs are not reservable, which keeps the 6 a.m. towel game off the deck.
Waterfall Pool
The family pool, with a waterfall and a slide, set back from the beach and away from the adults-only deck.
Wailea Beach is public, like every beach in Hawaii, and consistently calm enough to swim off. The resort lawn runs straight down to it.
Kids For All Seasons
Complimentary supervised programme, daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for ages five and up. It is genuinely free, not a paid club with a free hour.
Complimentary car service
The resort runs a car around Wailea — the shops, the neighbouring beaches, the golf clubhouse — which removes most of the reason to rent a car for a resort-based stay.

Beyond the Resort
Three things to book before you land.
Wailea sits on the dry south-west coast, which is why the resort is here. The trade-off is distance: the island’s two headline excursions both start well before breakfast and both need booking ahead.
Molokini and Turtle Town
The sunken crescent of Molokini sits about 8 km off Wailea, and the boats leave from Maalaea harbour, 20 minutes north of the resort. Morning departures get the clear water; afternoon trips trade visibility for a quieter reef.
Haleakala at sunrise
The summit is a 2-hour drive and 3,055 m up, which means a 3 a.m. departure and a reservation booked through the National Park Service up to 60 days ahead. It is cold at the top — genuinely cold — and worth arranging before you arrive rather than on the day.
The Wailea coastal path
A paved shoreline path runs north from the resort past Ulua and Mokapu beaches to Keawakapu, linking the Wailea hotels and the shops at The Shops at Wailea. It is the easiest thing to do here and the one most guests discover on their last morning.
